Entered Toyoko Gakuen Elementary School. Won prizes at the Working Fire-fighting Concourse Exhibit, the International Water-color Painting Exhibition for School Children, the Asiad Commemorative Painting Concourse, etc.

l960
Entered Komaba Toho Junior High School.

l963
Entered Komaba Toho Senior High School.

l967
Entered Musashino Art University.

l969
Around this time he discovered copper-plate printmaking.

l970
Held a solo exhibition of copper-plate prints for the first time at the Kabutoya Gallery in Ginza. Exhibited at the CWAJ Print Show, the Group Exhibition (Saegusa Gallery), the Japan Print Association Exhibition and the Shutai Art Exhibition.

l971
Graduated from Musashino Art University, Oil Painting Department. Remained with the college, in Print Research, as an assistant instructor for the next two years. Learned wood-block printmaking from the late Sho Kidokoro and stone lithography from Shohatchi Shimizu. Taught himself silk-screen printing. Exhibited at the CWAJ Print Show, the Japan Print Association Exhibition and the Shutai Art Exhibition.

Exhibited at the CWAJ show and the Print Grand Prix Exhibition.

Visited Europe. Exhibited at the Japan Print Association Exhbition and the Shutai Exhibition.

l974
Displayed 38 pieces of his work at a solo exhibition at Shinjuka Isetan Department Store. Married Chikako Inomata, a fellow student at the Art College; and the eldest daughter of Shigeji Inomata and his wife Miyako.

Exhibited at the Ichyokai Exhibition (has been showing at this exhibition every year since). Showed continuously in the "Post Collection" in The Weekly Post.

l976
Exhibited at the "Exhibition of the 120 Most Promising Artists of Today," Tokyo Central art Museum. Eldest daughter Chiaki as born.

l977
Held solo exhibitions at The Saint Anne Gallery in France and The Galerie Jutta Vondran in Germany.

l978
He repeated the solo exhibitions which were held in l977 in France and Germany.
Solo exhibition also held at the Shibuya Tokyo Department Store.
Exhibited at the Japan Print Association Exhibition.

l979
Held solo exhibitions at the Isetan Department Store in Shizuoka, Shibuya Tokyo Department Store, and the Gallery EAS in the United States. Exhibited at the CWAJ Print Show. Visited the United States. The Art Institute of Chicago purchased his works.

l980
Second daughter, Kaori, was born. He and his father, Akio, held a Father-and-Son exhibition at the Shima Creative House, Yamato in Kanazawa. Held solo exhibitions at the Shinno Gallery, Los Angeles, in the United States, the Lyon Bank and the Galerie Regis Langroys in France, and Shibuya Tokyo Department Store. Exhibited at the CWAJ Print Show.

l981
His father, Akio, who was also his mentor and friend, passed away. Invited to exhibit at the Exhibition of Contemporary Asian Art. Held solo exhibitions at the Kapalua Bay Hotel and Occidental Life Center Gallery in the United States and the Ginza Gallery Ishiyama, Shibua
Tokyo Department Store. Exhibited at the CWAJ Print Show. Honolulu Museum of Art purchased his work.

l982
First cover art appeared on The Shukan Shincho Weekly Magazine. Visited the United States and Europe. Held solo exhibitions at the Galerie Regis Langroys in France, Siemens Company in Germany,and the Shibuya Tokyo Department Store. Produced a mural at Hatchiman Junior High School in Setagaya Ward. Exhibited at the CWAJ Print Show and the Ichiyokai Exhibition as an Ichiyokai member.

Exhibited at the Contemporary Japanese Art Exhibition.
Started a touring exhibition throughout museums in Poland, l983-l984.
Held a solo exhibition at the Nihonbashi Department Store.

Held a solo homecoming exhibition (Kumamoto Tsuruya).
Solo exhibition at Yoseido Gallery in Ginza.

Exhibited at The Shukan Shincho Weekly Magazine 150th Issue Commemorative Exhibition at various Seibu Department Stores, and the Graphic Exhibition at the Stripe House Art Museum in Roppongi.

Produced murals for two new municipal administration buildings; in Nozawa Onsen Village, Nagano Prefecture, and in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture. Held solo exhibitions at the Yokohama Sogo Department Store, Mitsukoshi Department Store in Nagoya, and the Odakyu Department Store in Fujisawa.

Traveled to the United States to complete agreement for international representation of his works with Tennessee Players, Inc. Visited The Botanic Gardens in Memphis, Tennessee, where a solo exhibition will be held in March, 2002. The Botanic Gardens' many cherry
blossom trees will be blooming at that time.
