This impressive festival is held September 22-24 in the Fukushima Prefecture. It reconstructs the scene of an army taking the field for battle in 1868, known as the Boshin-no-eki. It has a parade of about 700 warriors, led by the elite Byakkotai (boy warriors) corps. Byakko means "white tiger."
